Dr. Jacqueline Mbwille Sakaya, owner of Blue Dove Pharmacy, faced persistent challenges with her previous landlord, including disruptive construction that affected her business. Despite the uncertainty of relocating, she embraced the opportunity for a fresh start.
With support from Opportunity Resource Fund, Dr. Sakaya successfully established her pharmacy inside the new Ypsilanti Health Center — a major step forward in expanding access to high-quality, community-centered care. Located in the heart of downtown and across from the Ypsilanti Transit Center, the new site offers significantly more space and improved services for both patients and providers. The relocation triples the clinic’s footprint, enabling expanded offerings in family medicine and pediatrics and fostering a deeper integration of care within the community.
