The Michigan CDFI Coalition is the collective voice of CDFIs in Michigan.
Our journey began with the founding principles of CDFIs – provide flexible and affordable capital, uplift underserved communities, and champion nontraditional borrowers. We remain steadfast in our commitment to these ideals, advocating for CDFIs as they continue this crucial mission.
The Michigan CDFI Coalition brings together CDFIs across Michigan, working hand in hand to forge inclusive policies, deliver vital programs, and bolster their efforts in community investment across the state.
Finding strength in numbers and our shared goals
Advocacy
Advocate for public policy that supports CDFIs and our work
Collaboration
Increase collaboration across the CDFI community
Sharing and Learning
Share and learn best practices from each other
Growth
Grow and strengthen Michigan CDFIs
Collecting, analyzing, and sharing data does more than show the impact of Michigan CDFIs – it tells our story!
While the federal government collects extensive data through the CDFI Fund, this data usually lags by a couple of years.
The Michigan CDFI Coalition collects and aggregates impact data from members annually, allowing us to share the most current data, compare data year over year, and show areas of growth. With robust, timely data, communities, partners, and elected leaders can better understand the collective impact of CDFIs.
