During the ongoing renovations of the Jessie Feliz Learning Center, I am proud to collaborate with Mission City: Community Center to provide impactful in-person language and literacy learning programs in the heart of Northwest Detroit’s Brightmoor Community.

Our comprehensive programs encompass a dynamic array of offerings including Spanish language instruction, foundational reading skills lessons, vibrant dance classes, engaging art sessions, and interactive cooking experiences. We fuse these learning avenues with the magic of music to create a holistic and enriching educational environment.

In response to the evolving landscape, we have expanded our reach to offer live virtual language classes, ensuring accessibility and continuity for learners. Our on-demand, Spanish S.W.A.G. Learning Program serves as a versatile resource, adapting to the diverse learning preferences of our students, and can be accessed anywhere.

Beyond catering to the young minds, we extend our commitment by facilitating professional learning experiences tailored for classroom teachers and out-of-school time (OST) professionals. By doing so, we foster a community of educators dedicated to enhancing their instructional practices and creating inclusive learning spaces.
